spanish colonial ranch
This family ranch was developed as an homage to the original ranch building in this larger nature preserve near Carmel. The owners desired space for family and friends to gather, with the home constructed as a series of galleries and courtyards connecting the main living spaces with great room, kitchen, dining and lounging spaces. A dramatic round stair tower leads across an enclosed bridge to a guest wing and bunk room that open directly to an oak forest. The home opens to the east to a meadow and to the west to a fountain courtyard and swimming pool.
